By using SteamGen Assist, you agree to create a personal account (or use a corporate license) and follow these rules: each license is for a single user and may be installed on up to two devices; subscriptions are annual and auto-renew through Stripe, with refunds available only within 14 days; the app is a guide only, users must be trained and qualified to work on the equipment and take all necessary safety precautions, including isolating electricity and avoiding hot steam pipework; users must not hack, share accounts, or redistribute the app; all notes entered belong to the license holder but may be used anonymously to improve the app; SteamGen Assist owns all branding, code, and content, which may only be used with prior permission; violations may result in account suspension or termination with no refund; SteamGen Assist is not responsible for any damage, malfunction, or failure caused to your device by the app. By continuing to use the app, you accept these terms.

1. User Access & Accounts

• Users must create an account to access SteamGen Assist.
• There are no age restrictions to register.
• Each account is licensed for a single user.
• Standard licenses allow installation on up to 2 devices (e.g., phone and tablet), but accounts must not be shared with other users.
• Multi-user licenses (corporate plans) allow multiple accounts under one subscription, with the same 2-device limit per account.
• Users are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and notifying SteamGen Assist of any unauthorized use.

2. Subscriptions & Payments

• SteamGen Assist subscriptions are sold annually and auto-renew at the end of each subscription period.
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe. SteamGen Assist does not store payment card details.
• Users are responsible for maintaining valid payment details to ensure uninterrupted access.
• Refunds: A refund may be requested within 14 days of purchase. After this period, no refunds are available, but users may cancel auto-renewal at any time.
• Unauthorized attempts to bypass payment or subscription restrictions are prohibited and may result in account termination.

3. App Usage Rules

• Users may not hack, reverse-engineer, tamper with, copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app.
• Users may not share confidential notes or account access with others outside their license.
• All content entered into the app (e.g., technician notes, diagnostic data) belongs to the license holder.
• Users consent that content may be used in anonymized form to improve and develop the app.
• Any breach of these rules may result in suspension or termination of the account, with no refund.

4. Liability & Disclaimers

• SteamGen Assist and its affiliates are not responsible for downtime, data loss, or any technical issues.
• The app is intended as a guide only. Users are assumed to be trained and qualified to work on the relevant equipment.
• SteamGen Assist accepts no responsibility for any damage or malfunction caused by the app to:
• Equipment or property (including buildings, generators, and connected pipework)
• User devices, including phones, tablets, or computers, whether due to software errors, operating system crashes, or any hardware malfunction
• Any persons using the app
• Users must take all necessary safety precautions, including:
• Generators operate at 230V to 415V and reach high temperatures
• Steam cylinders, tanks, hoses or pipework may be extremely hot and may contain boiling water or hot steam; handle with caution
• Ensure equipment is fully isolated electrically before work
• Be cautious with connected pipework and any mains water supply that may need isolation
• Users agree to use the app at their own risk, including any risk to themselves, equipment, property, or devices.

5. Intellectual Property

• All app content, code, and branding are the exclusive property of SteamGen Assist.
• Users may not use any branding, logos, or content without prior written permission.
• Any approved use must comply with conditions set by SteamGen Assist.

6. Termination

• Accounts may be suspended for breaches of these Terms, including license sharing or prohibited use.
• Continuous or serious breaches may result in permanent account termination, with no refunds.
• Upon termination, all user-entered content will be deleted, but contact information may be retained and added to a blacklist to prevent future accounts.

7. Governing Law & Disputes

• SteamGen Assist is owned and operated under UK law.
• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, even for users accessing the app from outside the UK.

8. Updates & Contact

• SteamGen Assist may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
• Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
• Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
